Administrator
Regine Thomas is originally from Queens, New York and moved to the Richmond, Virginia area when her father retired from the NYC police department. Ms. Thomas has a master’s degree in healthcare administration, with a core concentration in Geriatrics. She also has two minor degrees in Legal Studies and Human Resource Management. Ms. Thomas Skilled Nursing career began in 1978 as a volunteer in activities at Oxford Nursing Home in Brooklyn New York. Ms. Thomas has a passion for her residents, staff and the families. She that can be seen throughout the facility interacting with residents and staff; she states that is the best part of the job, when you can give of yourself and make a small difference in another person happiness. When not at work, Ms. Thomas like to spend her time doing a ministry community service and spending time with her family.
Director of Admissions
Nyasia is originally from a small town in North Carolina and moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has been working in the healthcare industry since she moved to Richmond. Nyasia’s favorite part of her role as the director of Admissions in a Skilled Nursing Facility is being able to make the residents feel at home and seeing positive patient outcomes/successes. It is unfortunate but she truly loves to see resident admit into the facility and discharge home weeks later after successfully completing rehab. The smile on their faces brings her joy! Nyasia enjoys church, spending time with her children and poodle and painting when not at work.
Director of Rehabilitation
Lisa is originally from Illinois and moved to South Chesterfield, VA in 1989. She attended John Tyler Community College where she received her Associates in Applied Science, majoring in Physical Therapist Assistant. Lisa has been working with the Geriatric population in Skilled Nursing Facilities since 2002. Lisa loves her job as a therapist and finds it very rewarding when her patients are able to return home to the community. When not at work Lisa is very active in her church, enjoys going to the movies and loves shopping!
Director Of Nursing
Dr. Shelly Moore-Johnson, DNP, RN, MSN-Ed., BSN, AS, currently serves as the Director of Nursing at Southampton Rehabilitation & Healthcare, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the role. With a commitment to providing holistic care, her goal is to achieve positive outcomes in residents’ clinical, emotional, and physical well-being, embodying principles of Excellence, Passion, and Respect. Driven by a childhood dream to be a nurse and educator, she started her career as an LPN and later pursued RN education while working at Southside Virginia Training Center. With over 10 years of experience as a Director of Nurses, Dr. Moore-Johnson remains dedicated to shaping the nursing profession, imparting knowledge and fostering excellence “One Building, One Person” at a time.
Business Office Manager
Susan is originally from Chesapeake Virginia and moved to Richmond about 10 years ago. She was at Lynchburg Social Services for 10 years doing the MCD eligibility for the local nursing home facilities. She has been in skilled nursing facilities since 2006. She does the job because she enjoys making the mcd process easier for families that admit. When not working she enjoys quite time, playing games, and spending times with her two dogs!
Social Services Manager
Nydra made the move to Richmond, Virginia in 2016 with education in mind. After graduating from VCU with a bachelor’s degree in social work, a minor in sociology, and a leadership certification, she embarked on a career path focused on serving the geriatric population in Skilled Nursing Facilities. In her role as a social worker, Nydra discovers profound fulfillment, delighting in the sight of residents successfully navigating therapy and safely reintegrating into their communities. Beyond her professional endeavors, Nydra treasures moments shared with her daughter, family, and friends. Additionally, she finds joy in creative outlets such as painting, DIY projects, and writing.
Director of Social Services
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling. With over five years of experience in Substance Abuse Counseling within Corrections, she has been actively involved in the Social Service field since 2009. Her expertise spans working with children (in outdoor settings) and adults in Long-Term Care facilities. Michelle is passionate about helping others and finds great joy in it. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family, and traveling.

Nura hails from Henrico, VA, and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Prior to joining Southampton, she interned with At Home Care, dedicating her time to hospice patients and providing them with invaluable companionship. At Southampton, Nura finds fulfillment in daily interactions with residents, relishing the opportunity to meet their needs and bring comfort to their lives. Her favorite moments involve checking in on residents, striving to uplift their spirits and witnessing their joy firsthand. Beyond her professional life, Nura is an avid traveler who cherishes moments spent with her loved ones. Whether exploring new destinations or enjoying quality time with family and friends, she finds joy in every moment outside of work.
